Whiff of Joy Challenge - All White

Hello everyone, today we have another challenge starting. At Whiff of Joy Challenges we want to see

ALL WHITE

This theme is quite a challenge for myself all the time, as I find it not that easy to keep everything in white. Well, I have very few pink accents as I hadn't a plain white rose in that size I wanted to use. So I used this one with the pink center.

The image I used is Precious. I just love it. It is the perfect image for a card welcoming a newborn baby. I coloured the image with Copics.

The pins are made by myself, using the plain pins available here.

This wonderful sentiment is from Whiff of Joy as well. It means; 'there is nothing more beautiful than the birth of a new life'. Love this!

We look very much forward now to see what you come with, to see all your white! Join us for getting the chance to win a fabulous prize!

Crafts & Challenge # 99 - Birthdays

Hello and good morning everyone, I am a bit late with my posts for today as I had problems in uploading pictures to my blog. Now after I downloaded another browser I was able to upload images again with Firefox. It haven't worked either in Explorer nor in Chrome. This is really strange. Haven't had that troubles before. Does someone had the same problems??

Well, today we have a new challenge starting at Crafts and Me Challenges. We have following theme for you

BIRTHDAYS

The card I created is quite simple this time. I just love this paper and didn't want to cover too much of it. I used an image from Dollie James called Loves Me Loves Me Not.

I made the colouring with Distress Inks.

Will come back soon with another post :o)

Teeny Tiny

Hello everyone, last Sunday we had a very hot day with around 34 degrees. As I don't like it that hot I preferred to stay inside and crafting in my somewhat a bit cooler craft room, creating this card I want to show you today. I made it with my actual favourite colour combo... cool colours :o)... blue and pink. I used one of my favourite images by Elizabeth Bell called 'Teeny Tiny' available at Sweet Pea Stamps.

I coloured this sweet image with Distress Inks. The background papers are Prima.

¨

This sweet little key is a new Die Cut from Whiff of Joy.

And this cute heart tag is from Whimsy available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

And know what? This sweet image is on SALE right now. Isn't this just great? So hurry up to get it, I am sure you love it as much as I do.

Have a magical day now!

Misunderstood

Hello everyone, hope you're doing fine. Today is my day at Crafts and Me to show some inspiration. I decided to create a card using one of the brilliant images by Robin Pushay again. This one is 'Misunderstood' and I love it so much.

This time I coloured this sweet image with Distress Inks. And I used a colour combo I never made before; creme and red. And I must confess I quite like it. The background papers are Prima 'Fairybelle'.

Unfortunately those images are still out of stock. I guess Teresa got overwhelmed with orders for them. No wonder. I am sure she will have them back in stock again soon. So keep on looking for.

Wish you a magical day now!

Jack-O-Lantern Tea

Hello everyone, at Sweet Pea Stamps we have variations week again. I LOVE it! It is so great to see  what everyone is doing with the same image. Here is my project using Elisabeth Bell's Jack-o-Lantern Tea. Isn't this just such a sweet Halloween image? I wanted to use autumnal colous with lots of orange and yellow. The papers I used are from a quite old paper pad from We R Memory Keepers and I think it is perfect to this image.

I made the colouring with Copics. As decoration I used some lace, lots of flowers and a matching tea can charm.

Just go to see what the others from the DT created with this adorable image HERE.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Vintage Book Card

Have you already made our Blog Hop? If not your really have to do to see all the gorgeous projects the DT made with the new released fabulous products of Whiff of Joy.

Today it is my turn to show a project on the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas blog. A while ago Katharina showed us in a fantastic video how to make a book card. You can find this tutorial HERE. I just love them as they look so great and precious. They are just great as a gift and always excites the persons who is that happy to get such a piece of art.

So I decided to make a book card to show you today. I kept it in a vintage style, and I used a sweet image from the Summer kit. Here we go...

This is the front side of the book card;

A close up of the image:

The back side of the cover, where I added a small bag to put some tea bags into it;

The inside of the book, with selfmade flowers and a sentiment from the Summer Kit as well, which is a perfect one when you add some tea bags.

And here you can see the back of the card, where I added some letters saying 'with love';

Well, I hope you enjoyed to see my book card. I really can recommend to make one by yourself. You will be excited by yourself as well when you have finished one. They need some time to create, but it is so fun.

Have a wonderful day now!

Whiff of Joy August Blog Hop

August 2012 copy

Welcome to the August Whiff of Joy Blog Hop! If you didn’t come here from LORI'S blog, then head on over to the start of the hop at Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog. I don’t want you to miss a single stop on this hop!

Our newest release has a baking theme. We have our sweet Maya and some of her friends in the kitchen preparing some yummy treats and of course our beloved mouse Henry dons some chef attire too! As well, we have new sentiments, a wonderful (and much needed) numbers stamp set and some amazing new dies!

A complete list of the hop can be found at the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog, just in case you get lost along the way!

Below you can see my project I made for the hop... it is not a common card, it is a tag card... Yes, I know, you expected anything else than a card. But I love this so kind of creation so much and so I decided to create one for the hop. They are just great as they allow to leave a little message behind the tag as well. I used the new Henry image 'Kiss the Cook' for my project. Isn't he just the sweetest? Whiff of Joy haves a new sentiment collection in German who are the perfect match to the new images.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks.

Your next stop is COLLEEN. I am sure you will love our hop and will be able to collect much of inspirations.

Have a wonderful day!

Whiff of Joy New Release - Preview

Hello my dear friends and all the so much apprechiated visitors of my blog. I did it yesterday!! Yep... about 20 cm of my hair is gone... I always mulled over, should I or should I not... but now I did it! And it feels good, really. First I thought I would regret. But I don't. And I love my new look.

Well, when it comes to something new... Whiff of Joy will have a new release very soon. Several new images from the 'Simply Maya' collection will be available. This one I show you today is 'Baking Fun'. Isn't she such a cutie? You love her just as I do? Then you will love all the other new images as well. All of them are dedicated to baking... what a wonderful theme.

I coloured my image with Distress Inks. The papers are from the new My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing - Lavender. The sentiment is a new collection at Whiff of Joy as well.

We will have a blog hop on Friday to show you all the new images, all available from Friday 17th August at Whiff of Joy. So come again to see all of them and what the DT made with them.

Crafts and Me Challenge # 79 - use Lace

Hi everyone, it's me once again for today to show you a second card. We have another challenge starting today, at Crafts and Me Challenges, where we want to see you

USING LACE

I made a tag where I used one of my favourite Crafts and Me image by Janna Prosvirina called Night Blossom. I wanted to keep it in monochrome vintage colours, using Distress Inks for the colouring of the image.

Below you can see a close up of the image and how I made the wings with feathers. I cut apart a deco butterfly, cutted the shape of her body to fit to her.

We look forward to see what you come with. Join us for the chance to win a fabulous prize.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
Hugs, Karina

Whiff of Joy Challenge # 136 - Brads or Eyelets

Hi everyone, today we have a new challenge over at Whiff of Joy Challenges. This time we want to see

BRADS OR EYELETS

As it is ages ago I have used some eyelets on one of my card, I decided to use them for the card I made for this challenge. And as I wanted to keep the focus on the image and the tying. I thought to add some flowers or stuff wouldn't fit well here. So it is a bit a more unusual card for me. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy as well.

And hey, I am SO MUCH in love with this colour combo I used here. I am sure you will see the one and other creation from with with those colours here in future :o)

Have a wonderful day now.

Hello everyone, today we started a new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts. We want to see

Below you can see what I created. Today I really wished I would be this little mermaid, able to swim in the cool water all day and night long, as we had such a hot and humid day today. And the forecasted even more hot days this week... phew... it seems the summer came back again. So the perfect theme for our challenge.

Here is a close up of my image. The water bubbles is a stamp I already have since ages.

Look at those fishes... aren't they just great on a pin just like I made them?

Items I used for my card:

All available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts
Bunny Zoe's Crafts

Now we look forward to see what you create. Join us to get the chance to win a wonderful prize or guesting us for a forthcoming challenge.

Summer

Hi everyone, hope you enjoy summer just as I do... as long as it isn't too hot... :o). 'Summer' is the name of this gorgeous portrait stamp available at Sweet Pea Stamps with which I made this card below. I am so in love with her. She is big joy to colour. This image is from the fabulous artist Karen Middleton. Did I already said I love her?? :o) Well, she definitely had to have pink and purple hair for the first creation I made with her. And so I made... and I am quite happy how it turned out.

I coloured her with Distress Inks. And the papers I used are from Maja Design. The butterfly die is Tim Holtz.

For this card I used the sketch from the actual challenge at CLP Challenges and of course I also want to join their challenge;

And I want to join following other challenges with my card:

Have a wonderful day now!
